Facility conversions are some of the most technically demanding electrical projects we take on — and this one was no exception. Taking a welding facility and converting it into a functional training center in Atlanta meant working through a complete electrical renovation from the ground up, while being smart about what existing infrastructure could be repurposed and what needed to be replaced entirely.
The scope covered:
- Electrical system reconfiguration — assessing the existing industrial wiring, identifying what was compatible with the new use, and reconfiguring the system to support the training center’s layout and operational requirements
- New circuit installation — running circuits sized correctly for training center use throughout the facility — technology, audio-visual, general-purpose power, and dedicated circuits where required
- Lighting installation and upgrades — replacing industrial lighting with appropriate fixtures for a learning environment, delivering clean, even light throughout instructional and common areas
- Code compliance upgrades — bringing all aspects of the electrical system into full compliance with current NEC requirements and applicable Atlanta and Georgia safety standards
- System integration — ensuring all new and reconfigured elements worked together as a cohesive, reliable electrical system from day one
Every decision was made with the facility’s new purpose in mind — what a training center actually needs from its electrical system, not what was convenient to leave in place from the previous use.
