This project for TDSI’s train center required a purpose-built electrical solution — one that combined the power capacity of a three-phase commercial installation with the reliability and redundancy that a facility running heavy equipment charging systems demands.

The scope included:

  • Outdoor-rated electrical enclosures — specified and installed to protect the system against the elements while maintaining full accessibility for maintenance and operation
  • Three-phase 208V power — providing the high-capacity power delivery required for the main charging systems
  • Dedicated breakers for each outlet — ensuring clean, isolated power to every charging point and protecting the system from cascade failures
  • Delta-Q charger integration — purpose-built industrial chargers designed for demanding, high-cycle applications integrated directly into the system
  • Secondary 120V trickle-charge option — a backup charging capability that maintains battery health during off-peak periods and provides operational flexibility when the primary system is offline

Every component was selected for the specific demands of a train center environment — outdoor exposure, continuous operation, and the kind of load cycling that standard commercial electrical systems are not designed to handle.

The facility now has a charging infrastructure that delivers reliable opportunity charging, optimizes battery performance, and supports the equipment uptime that TDSI’s operation depends on.
